Fraud attempts in the name of the tax administration

Fraudsters are currently trying to obtain information from citizens with fake emails.

They send emails with titles such as "A notification from the federal authorities" and promise a claim for income tax refunds.

We expressly warn you not to respond to these fraudulent e-mails or to open links in the e-mails. The tax authorities never request information such as your tax number, account details, credit card numbers, PIN or the answer to your security query by e-mail.

My receipts and the new MeinElster+ app


Mein ELSTER now offers you the option of storing receipts in your user account to help you prepare your income tax return. You can upload the receipts after Login in the "My receipts" area.
