User information
Please enter a correct Email address. If the Email address is not entered correctly, by mistake or if a fictitious email address is used, you may not receive important messages from your tax administration.
In addition, notifications of new information in your personal inbox at My BOP will also be sent to this Email address.
You can enter letters as well as numbers and hyphens. If the house number consists of two numbers, for example Isarweg 24-26, please make the entry as follows: House number 24, house number -26.
If you select your state, the corresponding coat of arms is displayed on the left side below the navigation.
Consultant profile
If you are a tax consultant, you have the option to mark this in the "I am a tax consultant" section and to deposit your firm's name. This information helps you to complete tasks faster by pre-populating forms and services with necessary information.
Please note that the field "Firm name" only has an effect if you are a tax consultant and have also set the corresponding selection.
You can edit your user details at any time under Manage Account > My User Information.
User Settings
You will receive a notification by Email 14 days prior to the automatic deleting of a task or message in your inbox.
If you do not want to receive this notification, just uncheck the box under Account Management > My Settings and then confirm with "Apply".
This setting has no effect on your My BOP inbox: You will continue to receive the messages from your Federal Central Tax Office there.
You will receive an Email for every transaction that is marked as soon as a corresponding message has been received in your My BOP inbox. If you do not want to receive notifications by Email, simply remove the corresponding mark(s) and then confirm with "Apply".
This setting has no effect on your My BOP inbox: You will still receive the messages from your tax office there.
Security Settings
You will already need the new PIN if you want to log in again. Please make a note of your new PIN if your current session is terminated unintentionally, for example by automatic shutdown. The "Change PIN" service is only possible with the registration types with certificate file and security stick.
Deleting an account
Here you have the option of having your access to My BOP permanently blocked. Your entire data in My BOP will be irretrievably deleted. Tax returns already submitted are not affected. On the one hand, you can use the feature when you no longer need your access. On the other hand, this function is available to you in terms of security if your means of authentication (certificate file, security stick or signature card) has unintentionally fallen into the wrong hands or you have lost it. In this case, you should immediately delete your corresponding personal access to My BOP. If that has happened, there is an increased risk that an unauthorized person may gain access to your personalized services.
To delete the user account, you will need personal information (Email and username) and your personal response to the security question that you have selected and answered during your registration for your personal access. As a result, only you can initiate the deletion of your user account, as ideally, only you have all personal information and can answer the selected question. Only if you are authenticated by My BOP about the personal data and the answer to your question can your personal access be blocked. The principle of authentication for the delete function is a common practice for authenticating people over the telephone (for example, often practiced by call centres) when a password or other security device has been forgotten.
Please, first enter your username and your Email address for your identification and then click on "Next".
If you no longer know the username of your account, you can receive information about all user accounts registered under an Email address. Click on "Send username(s)".
