ELSTER endeavors to make its websiteaccessiblein accordance with the national legislation implementingDirective (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
This accessibility statement applies to the version of the website currently available on the Internet www.elster.de
The declaration was created on 29.09.2021 and last updated on 23.08.2022.
The tax authorities attach great importance to the accessibility of their services for all citizens. For people with disabilities, Mein ELSTER offers unrestricted access to all electronic services and content.
The basis for the barrier-free design of Mein ELSTER is the Ordinance on the Creation of Barrier-Free Information Technology in Accordance with the Disability Discrimination Act(BITV 2.0).
My ELSTER makes sure, for example, that:
- informative graphics and images are provided with alternative texts. This means that this information is also accessible to blind users and users of simple text browsers using a Screenreader.
- the HTML pages of Mein ELSTER are structured correctly. The correct structure of the page elements makes it easier for the user to use and understand. This is particularly important for users who use a Screenreader. Screenreaders read out the page elements one after the other - in the order in which they appear in the source text of the website.
- Navigation between the pages is intuitive. There is a standardized navigation mechanism between the pages. This makes it easier for users to understand and find the content of the website.
- users can adjust the font size according to their needs. Users can use classic text-only magnification and zoom magnification of the entire layout without losing content or functionality.
- the abbreviations in the text are written out in full. This not only makes the text easier to understand, it can also be read aloud more easily by Screenreaders.
- terms are used in the same way throughout. This makes it easier to understand the information.
My ELSTER was tested with the BITV test in 2018. checked and achieved 95.75 out of 100 points. This means that the Mein ELSTER website is rated as "very accessible".
Detailed information on the BITV test and the test steps can be found at https://testen.bitv-test.de.
